Apple could launch MacBooks with touchscreen

At Apple, the emphasis is on touchscreen technology when it comes to mobile terminals, or more recently trackpads, and rightly so, because Apple's mobile terminals benefit from perhaps the best touchscreen technology in the world. The image above was taken from the documentation for a pattern of invention sent for registration at the American Federal Agency for Patents and Trademarks. Apple is thinking of implementing multitouch technology in a future generation of MacBooks, but until then Apple must first modify its Mac OSX operating system. At the moment, Mac OSX is oriented towards the use of peripherals and touch input, however Magic Trackpadis a first attempt by those from Apple to modify Mac OSX to make it compatible with the use of a touch screen.

In theory it sounds good, but how comfortable would it be to sit all day working on a MacBook with a touchscreen? In iOS it is simple because the operating system is simple, but Mac OSX is much more complex and requires much more work with the help of peripherals. My opinion is that a combination between an operating system such as Windows/Mac OSX and a large touchscreen would not have the desired results. It is easier to work on an iPad tablet with iOS than on a MacBook with Mac OSX.
