Did you update to iOS 4.1 or not?

iOS 4.1 was officially released last night by Apple and probably many of you are eagerly waiting to install it, or maybe some of you have already done so. The list of new features in iOS 4.1 is quite large, but most of them are aimed at iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4G owners. iPhone 3G owners will find an iOS 4.1 that works much faster than previous versions of iOS, but they will notice that the Game Center application is no longer available to them. For the iPhone 3GS, to be honest, I only noticed an improvement in performance, nothing more.

Here's what iOS 4.1 brought new:

  • Game Center:
    • The possibility to send and receive friend requests (friend requests);
    • The possibility of starting multiplayer games on the Internet;
    • The possibility of playing multiplayer games on the Internet;
    • Ability to see statistics for games;
    • Possibility to discover new games/friends;
  • Implementation of the High Dynamic Range (HDR) function in iPhone 4;
  • Possibility to rent TV shows from iTunes;
  • The possibility to upload videos in HD format on YouTube and MobileMe via Wi-Fi from iPhone 4;
  • Additional support for AVRCP compatible accessories;
  • The possibility to add to the "Favorites" section phone numbers for which you can initiate video calls via FaceTime;
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixing problems with the proximity sensor in iPhone 4;
    • Solving problems with the performance of the iPhone 3G terminal;
    • Solving some problems with the Nike and iPod applications;
    • Improving the performance of BlueTooth mode.

A consistent list of updates that do not solve problems for all users but brings a whole series of new functions for iPhone 4 owners. In conclusion...
