HTC Desire HD is one of the 2 terminals in the Desire class launched by HTC last week at the conference held in Great Britain. Desire HD is the "tip of the spear" with a 4.3-inch screen, a 1Ghz processor, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, a lot of RAM and a very interesting and useful function called "Fast Boot" that starts the phone in just 5 seconds. At first glance, the terminal looks very good and seems to be a competitor for the iPhone, but it has a low-capacity battery that will certainly not be able to allow long-term use of the terminal at maximum capacity. HTC Desire HD will be available at a price of around €600, so it will be slightly cheaper than the iPhone 4, but the price difference most likely also means a reduction in quality.

The HTC Desire Z is the younger brother of the HD and a business terminal of course addressed to people who want both a touchscreen and a qwerty keyboard. From a hardware point of view, it is less equipped than the HD, having a processor of only 800Mhz, less RAM, a smaller camera, a price €50 lower, but a larger battery that should definitely have been included in the HTC Desire HD terminal. To be honest, I don't see these terminals as big competitors for the iPhone 4 unless HTC will sell them at much lower prices through operators.
