25% of the most downloaded songs in iTunes belong to the Beatles

Although ANNOUNCEMENT yesterday regarding the introduction of the Beatles' albums in iTunes was viewed with disappointment by most of the world, here is how Apple still managed to attract people who had been waiting for this release for some time. In just half a day, the songs of the Beatles reached 25% of the top of the most purchased songs in the iTunes Music Store. Top consists of listing 200 of the most purchased songs, so 50 of them belong to the Beatles band, and the band's most purchased song is Here Comes the Sun which occupied the 27th place in the top.

It seems that in the end the strategy of those from Apple brought them substantial revenues, although most of the people who were waiting for the event were probably thinking of another announcement.
