Find My iPhone also works on iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch 2G/3G

Although initially it was thought that the Find My iPhone function offered for free by Apple would only work on iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G, here is a method to activate this function even on old terminals. Apple explains on its website that to activate this function, the account you use with MobileMe must be created on an iPhone 4/iPad/iPod Touch 4G. So if you have a friend with such a terminal, ask him to create an Apple ID for you on his terminal and then you will be able to use it on your terminal to activate the Find My iPhone function. I don't know if this method also works with MobileMe Gallery, but I have the impression that it does.

To use the Find My iPhone function, you must have a terminal updated to iOS 4.2. If you don't know how to activate the Find My iPhone function then consulted this tutorial.

Create a free Find My iPhone account on any iPhone 4, iPad, or iPod touch (4th generation) running iOS 4.2. Once you create an account on a qualifying device, use your Apple ID and password to enable Find My iPhone on your other devices running iOS 4.2. Find My iPhone is not available in all countries.
