Apple sells 2 million songs and 450.000 Beatles albums

It's only been a week since launch The Beatles albums in the iTunes Music Store and Apple announce that he has already sold over 2 million songs and 450.000 albums of the prestigious band. Probably a lot of people were disappointed when they heard the news that the release of The Beatles albums in iTunes was the big announcement of last week, but here is that Steve Jobs was right and the release was successful.

Most of the sales were generated by Americans, and this in the conditions where Amazon lowered the price by $20 for the same albums shortly after the announcement from Apple. Although The Beatles' albums were available in many online stores, Apple has "reinvented the wheel" and is now reaping the fruits of a fairly aggressive marketing campaign.
