Survey: Do you consider that you pay too much for telephone/mobile internet subscriptions?

For those who don't know, the lady in the picture is the former CEO of Vodafone Romania and the future COO of Vodafone Europe, yes we will have a Romanian in the management team of Vodafone Europe which represents a great achievement for Mrs. Liliana Solomon and me personally (as well as many other Romanians probably) I want to congratulate her on her achievements. Leaving that aside, a statement made by Liliana Solomon a few days ago caught my attention and made me think that a lot is expected from us, the Romanians. The statement they sound like this:

"The market in Romania, like the one in Greece, is completely destroyed, because of the ridiculous prices to telecom services. It's a stupid competition, the differentiation was based too much on prices and we reached an extremely low level, but this differentiation through prices is not sustainable - something that is learned in the first year of college in economics"

So the CEO of Vodafone Romania considers that the prices in Romania are ridiculous and that Romanians have enough money to pay for more expensive subscriptions. It is true that operators like Cosmote and Digi Mobil have lowered prices a lot, but Digi Mobil has a lot to recover in terms of coverage, and Cosmote is still "growing", especially in the 3G segment. If you want quality you choose Orange and Vodafone, if you want low prices (and lots of minutes) you choose Cosmote and Digi Mobil, that's all it comes down to.

My opinion is that some operators in Romania want European prices at Romanian salaries, and this is a wrong thinking because the majority of the population is poor, and the period Romania is going through now I do not consider that it would indicate the need to increase prices. At the moment, from my point of view, internet subscriptions have the lowest price/performance ratio and unfortunately the idea is not to lower prices but to offer unnecessary options.

I am satisfied with the phone subscription I have, but not with the internet option and unfortunately I don't really have a choice...
