redsn0w, the big problem with jailbreaking

redsn0w is currently the only jailbreak program that allows us to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 on any iDevice. Unfortunately, you will notice that all redsn0w 0.9.6 versions are beta, they are beta because the Dev Team, 6 months after the release of the first beta version, does not want to solve the related problems. Here I am referring to Windows Vista/7 users who have to suffer with this buggy program that totally randomly displays the above error and blocks the phone during the jailbreak process. I won't tell you that last week when I jailbroken iOS 4.2.1, I had to repeat the jailbreak process about 10 times, even in compatibility mode, until I managed to jailbreak once.

redsn0w is a poorly made program for Windows users and I say this because now Windows Vista/7 is installed on most of your PCs and the Dev Team is not doing anything to fix the compatibility of redsn0w on them. I know, we have to thank them for these programs, but still, so much time has passed and they don't do anything, so it's clearly a veiled refusal to solve a problem that many people are facing.

Anyway, if you are in the middle of the jailbreak process and redsn0w shows you that wonderful error during the ramdisk upload and your phone remains locked, then press the Home + Lock buttons simultaneously, the phone will reset and you will restart the jailbreak process from 0 It's unpleasant, but that's the way it is now.
