Eldar Murtazin, one of the most respected gadget reviewers, stated on his Twitter account that the new iPad 2 tablet will have a USB port. He claims that he would have received it the informations from a person close to the companies that sell Apple products. It was rumored in the past that the iPad 2 tablet could have a USB port, but until now the world has not given much importance to this rumor because it seems hard to believe that Apple could give up the 30-pin port in favor of a USB one.
The problem is that the European Union will force manufacturers of mobile terminals to implement Micro-USB ports in all terminals to allow a unification of standards regarding device charging. This new rule imposed by the EU could force Apple to give up the classic 30-pin port in favor of a USB or Micro-USB, but of course we are relying on rumors for now.
