Steve Jobs remains on Disney's board of directors

2 days ago Steve Jobs shocked the whole world through an internal memo sent within the Apple company. Steve Jobs announces that he will take medical leave for an indefinite period of time and will leave COO Tim Cook in charge of the company. Steve Jobs remains still CEO of Apple and member of the board of directors, but delegated his duties for the period of his absence. In 2006, Disney acquired the Pixar company owned by Steve Jobs, he received 7% of Disney shares plus a position on the company's board of directors.

At Disney, he does not hold any position, but he is part of the board of directors and will remain a member, just as in the case of Apple. Practically, Steve Jobs retired from public life and from the day-to-day hustle and bustle of running a company like Apple. Last night Apple announced the financial results for the last 4 months, the company breaking new records in terms of revenues/receipts and sales of iDevices.
