The Daily could be launched in 2 weeks, iOS 4.3 as well

The launch of The Daily publication was initially scheduled for January 19, but Apple and News Corp decided to postpone it to February because Apple had not been able to complete all the details regarding the iTunes subscription system. During the DLD (Digital-Life-Design) conference in Munich, representative of the agency Reuters managed to obtain an interview from the son of Rupert Murdoch who is part of the management team of News Corp. According to him, The Daily should be launched in the next 2 weeks and if he is right then it is very possible to see iOS 4.3 available together with it.

The digital-only publication, available initially only in the United States, represents News Corp's latest attempt to force consumers to pay for its online news and support investment in journalism — a strategy that is being closely watched.

"It should be launched in the next two weeks, I hope," Murdoch told the DLD media conference in Munich.

Apple has released 2 beta versions of iOS 2 in the last 4.3 weeks and it is expected that another one will appear tonight and the final version will be available in February, probably in time for the launch of The Daily publication and the new subscription system.
