4 inch digitizer for iPhone 5 available for purchase on a website in China

Would you like the iPhone 5 to have a 4-inch screen? If yes then look at the image above because your wishes could come true because this component, apparently made for the iPhone 5, appeared on a auction site from China. What we see there is the digitizer (front case) of the iPhone terminal and it is specially made to cover a 4-inch screen. The digitizer is almost identical to that of the iPhone 4, the only difference being that it has much thinner sides, that is, in accordance with the rumors that indicated that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen whose dimensions will oblige those from Apple to give up part of the bezel on the edges.

China's 1st iPhone 5 photo has surfaced! From this photo it seems that the screen size will be larger than iPhone 4. There has been a lot of speculation about a larger screen and maybe this will be one of the upgrades we will see when iPhone 5 is released this summer.

The same site published a few years ago some rumors about the iPhone Nano, rumors which in the end turned out to be true, so it is possible that this too will come true in the summer, or in the spring if Gizmodo will search with the same zeal for the future iPhone 5. What do you think about the new digitizer? Do you think that Apple will finally give up the classic screen and implement a new one that will more than likely generate many problems on the software side for developers?

  1. I think what is more interesting in this image and it seems that it was not noticed is the fact that the front camera was moved from the left side to the right side of the speaker.
I don't know if this image is real, but moving the camera could be the result of repositioning the proximity sensor that doesn't behave properly on the i4.
What do you say Zaone ..?

  2. @Chatagra: what you see in the image is the digitizer turned! The place of the camera is also on the left side! And yes, I'm glad to see that the design from the i4 to the digitizer is preserved and not as presented in another article posted here! Superb

  3. What can we say, in trend with the emerging phones, they have a bigger screen. In my opinion, 4 inches is ok, bigger would already break the pocket. I say that 4 inches is ok because I'm sure that Apple will find a way to make it slimmer (perhaps as thick as an iPod) because being wider is also more capacious...

  4. Yes, but if it was turned the other way around, you would see the digitizer connection part. If it is as you say, it means that in the image we only have the glass for the digitizer and not the whole assembly.

  5. why do you want a slimmer iPhone?!?! they have an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch, and when I hold the iPod touch in my hand I have a very bad grip because I'm thin and my hands hurt... it seems to me that now the iPhone has the perfect thickness, and a thinner one would be shit..

  6. @zaone The increase in the screen should not be associated with the increase in resolution, at 4 inches the current resolution is more than sufficient considering that on other phones with 4 inches and wvga is ok; and yes, I want iPhone 5 with a 4 inch screen, 3.5 is too small and over 4 would be too big.

  7. Do you know what seems strange to me? We all expected to see the new iPhone without a HOME button, but the rumors have not been confirmed. A 4-inch screen + the home button will make the new terminal look much bigger than the iPhone 4. I for one I expected the HOME button to disappear, so there was more space for a 4-inch screen. A little disappointed in terms of the new construction of the iPhone 5 terminal. What do you think?

  8. Honestly, it gives me the impression that it is something fake and maybe some people know why I say this. It was rumored that with the update to 4.3 the function of the home button would be useless, in the end it seems that even this update did not permanently remove it its function. But I would say that the new iOS 5 will definitely remove the function of the HOME button. So I for one say that the screen is fake as well as the information.

  9. why remove the home button? not everyone wants to beat their head with a bunch of gestures to get out of an application.. I don't think you would like to play something (Ninja Fruit for example :p ) and have the phone understand what to swipe and get out menu. I think it is very well thought out as it is

  10. it would only be a centimeter longer in length if you keep the same edges at the bottom and top, or half a centimeter in width 😉 I'm sure that these will produce an interesting piece both aesthetically and functionally

  11. Toni is right, I also looked at the website posted by him, everything is just a FAKE, anyway I expected it to be a FAKE So I, for one, would like to remove the HOME button on the iPhone 5 if it presented itself by 4 inches
