During Wednesday's conference, Steve Jobs explained that Safari on iOS has some performance improvements due to the implementation of the Nitro Javascript engine in Mac OS X. Pages should load much faster, navigation should be much more fluent, all in all, the internet browsing experience should be better. From what I have observed so far on the iPhone 4, the differences are imperceptible in terms of internet browsing speed using the new version of Safari.

In the clip above we have a demonstration of how Safari works on iOS 4.2 and 4.3 on an iPad tablet. Note that Safari on iOS 4.3 loads pages faster in all cases, but the difference between loading times depends on the web page. A web page with many elements will load as hard no matter what version of iOS you have. A page with few elements in it will load more easily, but as you can see quite a few pages load considerably faster.

I think that in the future Safari will be improved, but at the moment the browser on Android OS is much faster in terms of loading web pages.
