Apple opened today command session for iPad 2 more than half an hour before the initially announced date and even from the moment of opening the tablets were delivered in 3-5 working days. The situation remained like this for 2 hours, after which Apple changed the status for delivery in 5-7 working days, so that almost 2 hours later the ordered iPad 2 tablets would arrive at their destination in 2-3 weeks. It is quite clear that Apple has big problems with stocks, since within a few hours of the opening of the order session, the tablets were already delivered 2-3 weeks after placing the order.
The situation is similar to last year when the iPhone 4 was launched and in just 3 days Apple registered no less than 1.7 million pre-orders. Then the delivery time jumped just as quickly from 4 hours to 2-3 weeks and then to a month. The iPad 2 is almost as popular as the iPhone 4 terminal, but now Apple has launched the tablet only in the US and it seems that it cannot cope with the products available in stock.
