Ping affects battery life on iOS 4.3

Do you still remember Ping, that social network for iTunes that Apple launched in September of last year? If yes, then you know that in iOS 4.3 Apple automatically activates the Ping network which causes continuous connections to the Internet to download data from Apple's servers. Many users reported that their terminals had a much too low battery autonomy after the update to iOS 4.3, but no one could find out the cause of this decrease. In reality, the terminal constantly connects to the Ping social network to obtain information about comments, likes, etc.

Considering that Ping only works in countries where the iTunes Music Store exists, then if your terminal is authorized in the AppStore on iOS using a Romanian account, there is a chance that the battery life will not be affected because Ping is automatically disabled. If you still have problems with autonomy, then you can go in Settings> General> Restrictions, press on Enable Restrictions and disable Ping. After deactivation, the terminal will no longer connect to the Internet, it will no longer make traffic and it will not affect the autonomy of the battery.
