iPad 2 – dead pixels, screen discoloration, backlight bleeding

Apple has greatly accelerated the production process of the iPad 2 and a few days ago it will present in an article a video clip showing the yellow spots that appeared on the screens of some newly purchased iPad 2 tablets. Unfortunately, these are not the only problems that iPad 2 owners experience, as some claim that they have problems with backlight bleeding or dead pixels on tablets fresh out of the box. A user of 9to5mac claims that he purchased 4 iPad 2 tablets and all 4 had dead pixels on the screen right from the moment he took them out of the box and these pixels were only one of the problems because the yellow spots and backlight bleeding were also present.

My wife and I have gone through 4 iPads that, aside from the screen, were perfect. Dead pixels, horrible backlight bleeding, speckles in the glass, very strange glowing dot under the LCD. These are the issues in the 4 we've bought (and returned/will return).

Last summer the same thing happened with the first batch of iPhone 4 terminals delivered to customers in the US, this year the same thing is happening and it seems that Apple is selling defective products in the first batch put up for sale. This kind of problems were not experienced by users who purchased iPhone 4 terminals from the lots put up for sale after June, and it is very possible that the situation is similar in the case of iPad 2. In general, Apple does not change an iPad 2 tablet if it does not have more than 2 dead pixels, but maybe in these cases it will make an exception.
