i0n1c announced today on his Twitter account that his exploit used in redsn0w to make an untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 (and soon iOS 4.3.2) is currently incompatible with the iPad 2 tablet. He explains that for to use these exploits on the iPad 2, others are needed that allow access as an administrator to the tablet's system files in order to run unsigned code. comex also has an exploit with which he managed to jailbreak the iPad 2 tablet, but for now we don't know what type of exploit it is and what it can be used for. The Dev Team doesn't have anything for now and probably won't have anything soon, so we'll have to wait until we can jailbreak the iPad 2.
My opinion is that shortly after Easter we will have an untethered jailbreak solution for iPad 2.
