Announced almost a month ago, 1080p support for Real Racing 2, iPad 2 and HDMI adapter is finally available in the new version of the game released in the AppStore last night. This support practically allows us to connect our tablet to a full hd 1080p monitor/television and play the game at the native resolution of the screen. If you have used an HDMI adapter until now, then you must have noticed that the graphics of the games leave something to be desired, well this support for 1080p is the solution and it is exactly the difference between a 720p movie and a 1080p one seen on a screen with 1080p resolution.
Firemint is the first company to implement this kind of support in a game, but surely others will follow because the iPad 2 is becoming more and more popular and it certainly has capable hardware to run such games. The interesting part is that you can connect the adapter to the tablet during the game and the images will be displayed on the screen and if you disconnect the tablet then the game will continue on the tablet. You can use both an HDMI and a VGA adapter to benefit from this new function.
