Amazon Cloud Player is compatible with iOS

Amazon Cloud Player was launched last month by Amazon and allows online audio streaming for almost all smartphones, tablets and laptops except iDevices. The player implemented by Amazon for the service launched at that time did not meet the requirements of those from Apple, through a fairly simple method the songs could still be listened to. Since then and until now, Amazon has worked hard and managed to make the Cloud Player compatible with iDevices, and from my point of view it is an alternative to consider considering that it offers quite a lot of free space.

Starting today Amazon Cloud Player it is also compatible with iDevices, so a simple access to your account will show everything you have in it. The bad part is that we cannot upload songs from the iDevice to the Amazon account, so you will have to use a computer/laptop to put content there. Amazon offers 5 GB free for this service, but you can increase the limit to 20 GB by purchasing an album on Amazon or by paying a subscription.

I am curious to see what exactly Apple will launch in this segment. We are waiting for a Music Locker or an iCloud, but they will come only after WWDC 2011.

UPDATED: Unfortunately, Romania remains on the dole regarding the possibility of using this service.
