Apple launches an international program through which it changes the case of MacBooks

Apple released a yesterday international program called the MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program through which change free of charge the case from the bottom of the MacBooks sold in the last year and a half. Apple has published a page where it explains that under certain conditions the rubber part of the MacBook case can come off, so all customers who bought a MacBook between October 2009 and April 2011 will benefit from free repairs. Customers can go to any Apple store with their own MacBook that suffers from such a problem and they will get a free repair.

Apple has determined that under certain circumstances the rubber surface on some MacBooks may separate from the bottom case of the system. MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 may experience this issue. Apple will replace the bottom case of any affected MacBook, free of charge, that exhibits the issue.

Those who do not want to go to an Apple store to benefit from this free repair have the option to command from Apple's website a new case for their MacBook. The case is free and comes equipped with the screws that need to be replaced at the bottom plus a Philips screwdriver that allows us to mount the screws. The decision is yours if you have such problems, either go to an Apple store or order a new case online.

UPDATED: In Romania authorized resellers of Apple should be able to solve the problem with the replacement, but no one has yet published information about this program.
