Apple could collect 13 billion dollars from iTunes in 2013

The App Store is currently the largest application store in the world, but it is also the largest virtual music store in the USA. Apple earns billions of dollars annually through iTunes, but by 2013 the revenues generated by this virtual store could reach 13 billion dollars. It is estimated that the revenues from iTunes will increase by approximately 40% annually in the next 3 years, in order to reach this fabulous value in 2013. For a company like Apple, 13 billion dollars represents half of the fiscal income, but for the rest of the competitors, it represents a hard record to break.

Our research with students indicates that they would rather have books on iPad vs. Kindle.

In terms of usability of iBook vs. Kindle application on iPad – on a scale of 10, iBook is probably 8 and Kindle application on iPad is probably 5 – Kindle application lacks the finish and crispness of an iBook.

In addition to applications and music, Apple sells books and rents movies, fields in which Americans have become more and more interested in recent times. Of course, iDevices have a very important role in this development, but it should be mentioned that only the App Store is available almost anywhere on the globe. How much Apple will earn in 2013 we will see only then, until another one on July 19 the company will present the financial results for Q2 2011.
