How to activate iOS 5 beta 3 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Since the release of the first beta version of iOS 5 and until now, there have been various ways to activate our terminals using some complicated methods, but which in the end "paid off". Cele more recent ones involve the use of the 112 service in the case of iPhone terminals, so they are not recommended, but alternatively you can try this method which requires a jailbreak but which is not so dangerous. Regardless of the method, you will be able to use the telephone function of your terminal.

If you don't want to jailbreak, then one of the 2 methods below will be useful.

For iPhone

1. Turn on your terminal and when you get to the set up screen, slide to set up or in the menu from which you have to choose the desired language, press the Home button 3 times.

2. VoiceOver will be activated and now you will have to press the Home button again 3 times and select the Emergency Call option.

3. From the call menu, call 112, then quickly press the contacts button and after opening the contacts menu, press Home to enter iOS. Now your terminal should be activated and you can use it.

Be very careful not to let the call actually reach the 112 exchange! I do not recommend you to use this method, it is better to use the one that involves jailbreak.

For iPad and iPod Touch

1. After installing iOS 5, enter the terminal in Recovery Mode. To enter a terminal in Recovery Mode, you must close it, remove the USB cable from it and then, holding the Home button pressed, insert the USB cable into the terminal.

2. After entering the terminal in Recovery Mode, disconnect it from the computer, let it close, then reconnect it and let it open by itself.

3. When the terminal starts, you will reach the set up screen, where the iPod or iPad name will be displayed on the screen. Lock the terminal using the lock button, then unlock it and the iOS wallpaper should appear on the screen.

4. After unlocking, press the Home button 3 times to activate the VoiceOver function. Slide to unlock and press on the part of the screen where you have the clock displayed, then while your terminal tells you what time it is, swipe with 3 fingers from top to bottom to open the Notifications Center. From the Notifications Center, press the weather widget, then press the Home button and you are in iOS 5.

The method for iPad and iPod Touch will have to be redone if you reset the terminal. I haven't tested any of the methods so be careful what you do and I do NOT recommend using the iPhone method.

If you want to use iOS 5 beta 3 without problems, I recommend that you ask a friend to transfer the UDID of the terminal to the developer account. or buy a developer account at Apple.
