Mac OS X Lion launched in the Mac App Store

Apple launched Mac OS X Lion in the Mac App Store, the new operating system being available to all Mac owners. The price of Mac OS X Lion is only $30 in the Mac App Store USA, but worldwide prices differ depending on the currency of each country. The new operating system will initially be available through the Mac App Store, it must be downloaded using an Apple ID and the installation package contains no less than 4 GB, so you must have a strong Internet connection. Starting in August, Mac OS X Lion will be available bought from Apple stores on USB sticks for only $69.

To install Lion you must have Mac OS X Snow Leopart 10.6.8 already installed on your Mac. In Romania, Mac OS X Lion costs €23.99 and you can purchase it from the link below. To run Mac OS X Lion, you must have a Mac with at least Intel Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM. If you purchased a Mac after June 6, you can benefit from a free upgrade to OS X Lion, but Apple will publish in a few days the necessary steps to upgrade automatically.
