Those from Lifehacker they did some tests for Mac OS X Lion and Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating systems to see which one is faster. Notice also from the clip that in general the difference in performance between the 2 operating systems is small, except for the test regarding the opening of the 9 applications where Snow Leopard did much better. Mac OS X Lion lost in most tests, but the difference compared to Snow Leopard is small enough to not matter in everyday life.
In conclusion, Mac OS X Lion is not the fastest version of the Mac OS X operating system, but thanks to the new functions it is the most useful of all. I don't think that the differences presented by lifehacker will convince any user not to install Mac OS X Lion, but it is normal for a new operating system with more functions to run harder on old systems. Both tests were done on a 2.66 Ghz iMac with 4 GB RAM.
