Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – the tablet with the best display

Apparently the iPad 2 tablet would have been cataloged as being the tablet with the best display among all the tablets available on the market, but we are probably talking about models from abroad because I recently purchased one from eMAG and the colors of the screen have a different shade compared to a tablet purchased in the USA. Back to the topic, Dr. Raymond Soneira from DisplayMate tested the most popular tablets available on the market and concluded that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has the best screen, although the iPad 2 came out victorious in separate tests conducted by Soneira.

In the tests made by DisplayMate, the iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Motorola XOOM, Acer Iconia Tab A500 and ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablets were used. The tests done on the tablets focused mainly on: the level of color accuracy, viewing angles, color saturation, brightness and contrast of the screen, the level of reflection of the screen, the power of the background light of the screen, energy consumption, and life span of the battery. Of all the tested tablets, the Motorola Xoom had the worst results and I for one was amazed to see how poorly the Motorola tablet performed.

In the end, the iPad 2 had very good results in terms of color display accuracy and viewing angle tests, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 had similar or even better results in certain cases. For the Samsung tablet, some penalty points were offered for the color saturation level, but in the end the tablet screen is better than that of the iPad 2. The difference between the screens is not great, but it exists, but in everyday life it is unlikely to be noticeable or disturbing. The iPad 2 tablet was dethroned from another pedestal by a Samsung product and those from Apple should think about this kind of tests.
