Tim Cook – the new CEO of Apple

As of today, the Apple company officially has a new leader, Tim Cook - the former COO and interim CEO for several times. Tim Cook is 50 years old and has quite a lot of experience behind him, having worked for both Compaq and IBM before being recruited by Steve Jobs at Apple. Until yesterday, Tim Cook was the COO of the Apple company and he was praised not a few times for the way in which he changed and implemented the new way of organization and operation of the Apple company over the years.

Tim Cook led the operational department of the company with an "iron hand", being the one who made the decision to move production to China, being the one who managed to significantly reduce the costs of production, transport and delivery of the products, being the one who contributed extremely much to increase the profitability of the company. In the mandate of Tim Cook, Apple fundamentally changed its operating mode and without him, today the company probably would not have occupied the 2nd place in the list of the most valuable companies in the world based on stock market capitalization.

Tim Cook also held the position of CEO in 2004 and 2009 when Steve Jobs took medical leave, but after this in 2011, Tim Cook became CEO with full powers for the first time. Tim Cook was "in the shadow" of Steve Jobs, he learned from him how long he was employed by Apple and everyone saw him as the "rightful" successor of Steve Jobs. Many are of the opinion that Tim Cook is the rational choice regarding the succession at the management of Apple and just as many consider that under the guidance of Steve Apple will work at least as well in the following years.

It matters too little that Tim Cook is homosexual, it matters too little his lax attitude towards patent infringement, Tim Cook will lead Apple under the guidance of Steve Jobs, even if officially this will not be recognized by anyone. For users, it matters so little who exactly runs a company, for us it matters that future products are at least as good, contain at least as many new functions and if everything will work as it has worked so far, then we don't have to there should be no doubts about the survival chances of the Apple company.
