Apple intends to sell 20 million iPad 2 tablets in Q4 2011

In Q3 2011, Apple sold no less than 20 million iPhone terminals, a true record for the company from Cupertino, a record that secures the first place in the top of the global smartphone manufacturers. This figure has little chance of increasing in Q4 2011, but Apple predicts that it will sell a lot of iPad 2 tablets until the end of September (when Q4 ends for Apple). Foxconn company will deliver no less than 20 million iPad tablets to Apple in Q4 2011, 6 million more than initially anticipated and this even though in Q3 2011 Apple had sold only 9 million tablets.

Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has announced net profits of NT$27.38 billion (US$945.93 million) for the first half with EPS down 20% on year to NT$2.58. For the third quarter, Foxconn is expected to ship 20 million units of iPad 2 to Apple, a growth of 60% sequentially, and the orders should be the major growth driver for the company in the second half. However, Foxconn has declined to comment on a specific client.

Apple does not expect to sell so many tablets in Q4 2011, but the stocks ordered by the company will more than likely be ready for the winter holiday season when the company has the biggest sales. In the conference for the presentation of the financial results for Q3 2011, Tim Cook declared that Apple sold all the tablets it could produce and if it had more it would have recorded higher sales. Although I don't think that Apple will receive exactly 20 million tablets, but in fact around 15, I believe that a good part of this stock will be kept organized so that during the winter holidays the company will have enough units for all consumers .
