iCloud Communications gives up the lawsuit against Apple, changes its name

An obscure company known as iCloud Communications has sued Apple on the basis that it stands to gain a considerable amount of money from the Cupertino company that is set to launch the iCloud service this fall. Considering that the name of the company and that of the service prepared by Apple are identical, the lawsuit was filed, the lawyers met in court, but recently iCloud Communications decided that it is the case to give up to everything and to change its name to Clear Digital Communications.

In another development, the company appears to have changed its name to Clear Digital Communications. A Facebook page for a company called Clear Digital Communications lists the same address and contact information as an iCloud Communications Facebook page, as well as a wall post from August 12 that says, "iCloud is now Clear Digital Communications." The Clear Digital Communications page also includes a profile picture with the name iCloud Communications.

Officially, it is not known why the company decided to change its name and give up the lawsuit, but I assume that it was either forced by Apple to do so or that it reached an agreement with the company from Cupertino. No matter what the reason for this change is, it is certain that Apple has a process less "on the head" and can see peace of mind from the development process of the iCloud service that is to be launched in the coming weeks.
