iPhone 5 produced in 150.000 copies daily by Foxconn

Apple itself prepare employees for the launch of iOS 5 and iCloud, mobile phone operators do the same but also test the final version of iOS 5 and in China Foxconn has already started producing the iPhone 5 terminals that will be launched in the following weeks on the market. For enough iPhone 5 terminals to be available on launch day, Foxconn produces at the moment approximately 150.000 iPhone 5 terminals daily and is seconded by Pegatron which produces only approximately 10.000 units each day.

Suppliers in the iPhone 5 supply chain in Taiwan have recently geared up production with volume shipments of the new Apple smartphones to begin soon. Production of iPhone 5s at OEM maker Foxconn Electronics has reportedly reached 150,000 units per day, according to industry sources.

This month, Apple expects around 5-6 million iPhone 5 terminals from its partners in China, but next month we are talking about a number of units almost 4 times higher, a sign that Apple expects to have extremely high demand in the period leading up to the winter holidays. The iPhone 5 could be launched this year at several telephone operators that currently do not sell iPhone terminals, and the increase in sales could be considerable for the company from Cupertino. No matter how many units each factory produces daily, I for one hope that the devices do not have problems with the screen or other external or internal components.
