Samsung intends to block iPhone 5 sales in Europe

This week I told you that Samsung ready several lawsuits against the iPhone 5 terminal that Apple is going to launch next month in its own stores. The Asian company relies on several patents related to communication technologies and believes that these would be "powerful" enough to convince the courts of the world to block the sale of iPhone 5 terminals. If at first it was only about introducing lawsuits in South Korea, today we learn that Samsung actually intends to block sales of iPhone 5 terminals even and in Europe, a very important market for the company from Cupertino.

Samsung Electronics Co is considering legal action to ban sales of Apple's new iPhone, a source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday, in what could be its strongest step to defend against claims by the US firm that the South Korean firm had copied its product designs . The source declined to elaborate further on where Samsung planned to take legal actions and the Maeil Business Newspaper reported that the South Korean firm may seek an injunction request on Apple's new iPhone in Europe.

Practically, Samsung is now trying to offer those from Apple the same treatment they were subjected to recently with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Europe. Although Samsung copied the design of iPhone terminals and a manager of the company a provided confidential information about the iPad before the launch, the Asian company didn't seem willing to give up the fight, even though it hasn't won the case against the Cupertino company so far. Those from Samsung are convinced that they can block the sales of the iPhone 5 terminal, but I for one believe that the Asians are "drunk with cold water" at the moment because Apple would not have risked the launch of an extremely popular product that could be banned from the market in because of some patents.

The launch of the iPhone 5 will prove to be extremely interesting, now it remains to be seen what defense Apple will have in front of the accusations brought by Samsung.
