iPhone 5 - when you can buy it in Romania

Yesterday the people from All Things Digital they wrote an article in which they announced that on October 4 Apple will hold a conference where it will present iPhone 5, iOS 5 and iCloud, the conference where we will of course also find out the release date of the new device. Al Gore, former US vice president and member of Apple's board of directors, announce on the same day that in October Apple will launch at least 2 new iPhone terminals, confirming the article from All Things Digital. The information provided yesterday indicates that on October 14 we may witness the global launch of the iPhone 5 terminal in: USA, England, Germany, France and Japan, countries where iPhone 4 was available last year.

Last year, the iPhone 4 terminal arrived in Romania almost 3 months after its launch in the US, Orange officially introducing it to its offer in mid-September. Cosmote and Vodafone made the same launch 3 months later, before the winter holidays, but for iPad 2 the launch of dedicated Orange and Vodafone subscriptions took place in the same period. This year I expect the iPhone 5 to arrive faster in Romania, more precisely I expect Apple to launch it only 2 months away from the USA, right before the winter holidays.

According to this timeline, we should have iPhone 5 at Orange, Vodafone and Cosmote in the second half of December, right before Christmas. A launch in that period would generate important sales for the Romanian operators, but of course everything depends on the stocks of terminals sent by Apple, stocks that were generally very small. In conclusion, if you want to buy iPhone 5 from a Romanian operator, then you should prepare for a launch in December and a gift from Santa Claus.
