iTunes Music Store officially launched in Romania!

Yesterday we presented you exclusively the new layout of the iTunes Music Store Romania and last evening Apple officially opened its music store for our country as well. The iTunes Music Store did not come alone, but also brought an "update" for the iBookStore so that now we can also purchase books for our iDevices. Coming back to the Music Store, starting today we have the possibility to purchase songs directly from Romania using Romanian accounts and the good part is that we have at our disposal a fairly varied selection of artists for almost any musical genre.

Unfortunately, Apple does not promote songs or artists from Romania on the front page, but only presents foreign authors from the other App Stores, which makes it clear that the Romanian Music Store is managed from Cupertino, as is the case with The App Store. Even so, Romania has finally joined the ranks of civilized countries, has an iTunes Music Store and is one step closer to an Apple store in the true sense of the word. Returning to the store, we now have the possibility to download ringtones, to listen to previews of the songs and yes, the iTunes application in our terminals finally has a utility, it allows us to buy and listen to songs.

Finally, Apple has also implemented a section called Purchased in which we have listed all the songs purchased by us from the music store and everything works exactly as in the case of the App Store. Any song from Purchased can be downloaded again without any additional cost, and in the case of ringtones, the situation is identical.

You're probably wondering how much a song or an album costs in the new Apple store, right? Well, a song costs 0.99€ and the albums have a starting price of 4€, although most of them start from 8€ and depending on the artist, they can end up costing even several tens of euros. The prices are not low, in reality they are high for Romania and I think that Apple could have applied the price of €0.79 in the iTunes Music Store because it would have attracted many more customers. I don't know how many will be tempted to buy more albums at the price of €9/10/11 considering that they can be purchased even cheaper in stores, but Apple will definitely have customers.

This is the new iTunes Music Store, I hope to see more Romanian content in it and of course Romanian artists to be properly promoted.
