A few minutes ago MuscleNerd announced through his Twitter account that the resdsn0w program will be updated to include the functionality of the PwnageTool application. Using PwnageTool we could make a custom ipsw with the help of which we could restore to any version of iOS without updating the baseband of our iPhones. Until recently, PwnageTool was only available for Mac OS X, but starting with iOS 5, the program will be included in redsn0w and will work on both Windows and Mac OS X.
Although the implementation thought by the Dev Team is interesting, unfortunately MuscleNerd say that it will only be available when an untethered jailbreak solution is released for our terminals, and that could take a few weeks/months.
