Siri won't be ported to the iPhone 4 or iPad 2 anytime soon

Siri is certainly one of the most interesting functions of the iPhone 4S, but unfortunately the function is available exclusively on the new terminal of the company from Cupertino. Immediately after the release of the GM version of iOS 5, they also appeared the first information which indicated that Siri could be ported to iPhone 4 or iPad 2, but unfortunately MuscleNerd comes today with some very bad news. It seems that Siri will be able to be ported to the old terminals only if a bootrom exploit for the A5 chip of the iPhone 4S is discovered, and this will take some time. Although the Chronic Dev Team has an untethered jailbreak solution ready for us, it is userland, that is, it is implemented from iOS and not from the bootrom.

Theoretically, Siri could be ported without a bootrom exploit, but this would require hacking the function developed by Apple and the Dev Team will not assume responsibility for this process. Even iH8sn0w will not be interested in doing this so Siri will be available for old terminals probably after iOS 5.1 is released and a bootrom exploit could be included in a jailbreak solution for users. In conclusion, if you want to use the new Siri, it would be better to buy an iPhone 4S or find a friend who has already purchased one.
