iPhone 5 - here's why it wasn't released this year

After a whole summer of rumors and no release, the iPhone 4S came as a disappointment for many, but in the end it managed to establish a sales record for Apple because in the first week of availability the company from Cupertino sold no less than 4 million units. iPhone 4S is a success, but why wasn't iPhone 5 released this year? Those from 9to5mac support that they managed to find out information from sources close to Apple and from the company's Chinese partners and offers a logical explanation for the postponement of the iPhone 5 launch.

To begin with, I will tell you that Apple intended to launch the iPhone 4S at WWDC 2011, but unfortunately Siri was the one who held everything in place. In February of this year, the company realized that it could not complete the integration of Siri in iOS 5 and could not release the beta version of the new iOS 5 until WWDC 2011. Then the decision was made to postpone the launch of the two new products until September - October 2011, although even now Siri is not 100% functional. This year, Apple deviated from tradition to ensure that it offers users the best possible operating system, with as many new functions as possible and as few bugs as possible.

Leaving iPhone 4S and iOS 5 aside, let's return to iPhone 5. Apple would have liked to launch iPhone 5 with a larger screen, modified design and thinner structure, but unfortunately Foxconn failed to develop an efficient production process. There were problems with the new screens but also with the implementation of the components and as a result of these problems Apple decided not to release the iPhone 5 this year. Practically the device exists, its prototypes are still at Foxconn and the cases available on the market were made after a real device that will most likely be launched next year. Steve Jobs oversaw the production of the iPhone 5 and if Foxconn had managed to optimize the production process then some of you would have had an iPhone 5 in your hand now and the iPhone 4S would have been the second option.

This is the story behind the iPhone 5, it seems that the device could be available next year, but for now nothing 100% concrete is known.
