iDevice.ro test: Movies recorded with iPhone 4S are twice as large as those recorded with iPhone 4

The camera of the new iPhone 4S has been praised on various occasions by those who managed to purchase the new terminal and since I managed to buy one myself I thought I would make a small comparison between the quality of the films and the pictures recorded with our terminals. I will write an article about this later, but now I will talk about the space occupied by the movies recorded by our iDevices. In the image above, I have displayed the information for two video clips recorded with iPhone 4 (left) and iPhone 4S on the right, and if you look at their sizes, you will notice that the size of the clip recorded with iPhone 4S is 125% larger than that of the clip recorded with iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4S shoots Full HD in 1080p format and the video clips are of course larger than those recorded with the iPhone 4 and this difference is more than double. For those who take a lot of pictures/films, the difference will matter a lot in choosing the right terminal because a 4 or even 16 GB iPhone 32S could prove to be "insufficient" for certain people. Think that after 10 minutes of recording with iPhone 4S, you occupy 1.8 GB of space in your terminal and if we add applications plus photos, then 16 GB fills up immediately and without much effort.

In the case of pictures, the differences are smaller in terms of the space occupied in the terminal because a picture taken with an iPhone 4S takes up only 1.2 MB more than one taken with an iPhone 4. Practically, if you take 344 pictures, you occupy 1 GB of space on the iPhone 4S , so you don't have to worry too much unless you have several thousand pictures in the photo library of your terminal. Having said that, for long video clips you need a lot of space, but for pictures you don't have to worry because for now even a 4 GB iPhone 16S can handle it without problems.
