Many iDevice owners complain about problems with iCloud account synchronization

iCloud was officially launched by Apple on October 12 together with the new iOS 5, and from then until Monday the 20th, millions of iDevice users registered to use the new data saving system implemented by Apple. Unfortunately, not all those who created an iCloud account managed to synchronize their data without problems, but Apple did not officially admit that there was a problem with its system. The biggest problems seem to be with the document saving system, a system that should save in iCloud any document made with applications such as those in the iWork suite.

After creating the document and saving it, iCloud makes it available on any other iDevice, Mac or PC that logs in using the account on which the document was saved. Theoretically, this is how things should work, but unfortunately many users complain that after saving a document, they find that it is automatically deleted by iCloud in just a few minutes. On the discussion forum of the Apple company there are many users who complain about this problem and without a solution from Apple the frustration will cause some to give up this function of iCloud.

What problems did you have with iCloud in iOS 5?

  1. Synchronizing contacts with the calendar in outlook is a bit strange. Several contact columns were created for me in Outlook that I did not need. I would prefer it to be a single column. I lost some time to set up the contacts.

  2. About 4 days ago, iCloud for Windows failed. Yesterday and today NOT AT ALL. I don't use a photostream and it went very fast. I was taking a picture and in 5 seconds it was on the map. I was really impressed by the speed of the servers.

  3. I also synchronized it from iTunes and it is synchronizing, the dissatisfaction comes from the fact that they did not make it possible to install it on Wind.XP as well... so that I can control it from there, I am trying to log in on iCloud.com... which it goes like clockwork and all I see is the agenda...

  4. well...for me it doesn't really move...estimating time remaining ……. and stay there for hours on end... what would be the steps? connected to itunes?

  5. I don't know how to delete the photos from Photo Strea on the iPhone or on the Mac from iPhoto.
I reset Photo Stream from iCloud.com and in vain.

  6. @dumi I have the same problem. And I mention that I ONLY synchronize 300 MB. After 30 minutes in the "Estimating time remaining" stage, it appears that I have to wait another 2 hours for the process to finish :|. What the hell. If I had 2 Gb, how much would it have taken? 2 days?

  7. For those who have the same problem as me, I found the answer:

After resetting your Photo Stream, you can also remove any photos that have been downloaded to your device or computers. To do this, follow the directions below:

On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually, if desired.

On your Mac, you can clear cached photos from the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this in each application by visiting Preferences > Photo Stream.
If you had Automatic Import enabled in your Photo Stream settings, your Photo Stream photos were also imported to your iPhoto or Aperture Library, and will remain after you disable Photo Stream. If you would like to delete any of these photos from your library, you can do so manually any time you like.

On your PC, you can remove Photo Stream photos by deleting them from your designated Photo Stream Download Folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Users\Apple\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream.

  8. I think those who have an unlocked or jailbroken iDevice have a problem. I had no problems at all and I actually use it daily. It's very useful as such... if you have an iDevice with a subscription or a neverlocked one, there are certainly no problems with iCloud.

  9. Deleting does not delete anything from iCloud, but does anyone know how to set Pages, Numbers and Keynote on Mac OS X 10.7.2 to automatically synchronize documents with iCloud?

  10. I have the phone with subscription and neverlocked and it still doesn't work. In settings, the icons from iCloud and Twitter are displayed as inactive, grayed out. How do I activate them?

  11. Gentlemen, synchronization via iCloud DOESN'T WORK for me, neither the photos, nor the documents, nor... nothing. What I do on the iPad does not appear on the iPhone and vice versa. This, although the documents on the iPad appear uploaded to the iCloud server, although I have iOS 5 on both devices, and the settings for iCloud seem fine on both. Can someone advise me what to do? Thank you!

  12. I forgot to specify that I have two different iCloud accounts for iPhone and iPad. I don't know if this has any importance for the impossibility of synchronization between the two devices.

  13. A week ago I did a restore on the iPhone, since that day I can no longer make a backup in iCloud. I'm going to make a backup, now it waits a bit, then it appears that the last backup has not been completed. You can help me ??

  14. hello, tell me how I can link my credit card to the iCloud account again, I can no longer download any application from the appstore, tell me how I can solve it..
