iOS 5.0.1 solves problems with battery autonomy, brings other important news

We already told you that Apple released a beta version of iOS 5.0.1, now I will tell you what exactly Apple solved in this version of the operating system. According to the changelog published for developers, Apple has solved problems with battery life, enabled multitouch gestures for the iPad tablet, solved problems that led to the impossibility of synchronizing documents from iDevices with iCloud, improved the system that recognizes words spoken with Australian accent and fixed other OS security issues.

    Here is the full changelog:

  • Fixes bugs affecting battery life
  • Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
  • Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
  • Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
  • Contains security improvements

In addition to all the news mentioned above, we have a solution of the problem that offered users the possibility to access the operating system from the Lockscreen even if they had a passcode set. This beta version of iOS expires on December 14, but Apple will release it publicly before that date. It is interesting that it released a beta version of iOS that does not bring extremely important changes and I notice that Apple wants more feedback from its developers. Below is a brief statement from an Apple representative.

A small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices," an Apple spokesperson told The Loop. "We have found a few bugs that are affecting battery life and we will release a software update to address those in a few weeks.
