Apple is preparing an iPad 3 tablet with Retina Display and a new backlit system

Since last week we have learned that Apple is exploring the possible implementation of a Retina Display in the iPad 3 tablet and today we find out that Apple has chosen to use a new backlit system for the screens in the iPad 3. Since we are talking about a very high resolution in the Retina Display for the iPad 3, Apple has chosen to use a backlit system composed of two LEDs that will be positioned behind retina screen. These LEDs will help the screen to offer a much better brightness considering that we are talking about a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels for the new tablet.

With the next-generation iPads expected to adopt LCD panels with resolutions higher than 2048 by 1536, the current single LED light bar designed for the iPad 2 has to be modified in order to maintain or strengthen the brightness of the panels, the sources explained.

Of course, this is nothing more than a simple rumor considering that Apple keeps secret its plans regarding the launch of the iPad 3 and what the new tablet could contain. The implementation of Retina Display in iPad 3 has been expected since last year and everything depended on the ability of Apple's partners to produce enough screens for tablets. This year, Samsung and LG seem to have achieved an efficient production process that Apple would have approved, and by the end of the year it is rumored that 2 million iPad 3 tablets will be available in the warehouses of Apple's partners.
