Apple could implement Nvidia graphics cards in future Macs

Although Apple has implemented AMD graphics cards in almost all of its Macs in addition to the integrated ones from Intel, the next generation of Macs could bring us Nvidia video cards. It seems that Apple managed to reach an agreement with Nvidia for the implementation of the company's graphics cards in the future Macs that will be released in 2012. Apple would apparently be satisfied with integrated graphics cards from Intel for Macs as well who have a second dedicated graphics card would prefer to implement the solutions from Nvidia instead of the solutions offered by AMD.

Yes, you read that right, Nvidia has won the next round of Macs, likely starting with the Ivy Bridge models next spring. About three years after the decision to boot Nvidia out of the company was made, and two years after the first ATI/AMD Macs in recent memory hit the shelves, you will see Nvidia macs reappearing. I guess 'never' at Apple means single digit years.

Until now, the graphic performance of Macs has not been an object of discussion for users, and here Apple has to thank game developers who have not released important titles on the OS X platform. If important games were available for Mac, then I think that a lot more users would have asked for better graphics cards. Applications that use the graphics card for processing already exist, but AMD's products are doing more than well at the moment. For now, this transition is presented only as a rumor, but it could be very true.
