Calltell recites the names of the people who call you, reads SMS

CallTell is an old tweak for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 that speaks the name of the person calling you. Moreover, the application can also recite the texts from SMS, so it is very useful for people with vision problems or for those who simply don't feel like reading the text. The application only works on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, these being the only iPhones that can be jailbroken. CallTell uses the sound settings of the iPod application, so if the recited text is too slow, change the settings for the iPod application.

During the last evening, a new version of Call Tell was launched, it is compatible with iOS but also brings the following news:

NEW FEATURES:

  • Updated for iOS 5!
  • Customize the speech language!
  • Pick your language voice (when Apple adds more) to match your likings.
  • Integration with Ryan Petrich's Activator
  • Silence speaking by the action of your choice. Want a message to stop being read, choose one of Activator's many actions to silence it!
  • Enable speaking of third-party apps individually! No longer do you have to have EVERY app speak notifications, just pick and choose the one you'd like!
  • Redesigned interface for iOS 5!

BUG FIXES:

  • Fixed the bug where the phone wouldn't ring
  • Fixed crashing when receiving text from non 10-digit numbers
  • Fixed crash when multiple calls/notifications/messages received at the same time

CallTell is available for $1.99 in Cydia in the BigBoss repo and will be compatible with iPhone 4S as soon as an untethered jailbreak solution for the terminal is available.
