Pod2G starts developing the untethered jailbreak solution for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S

I told you yesterday that Pod2G managed to make the untethered jailbreak solution compatible with almost all Apple iDevices, with the exception of the iPad 2 tablet and the iPhone 4S terminal. Well, last evening Pod2G announced that it managed to collect enough donations to buy an iPad 2 and iPhone 4S tablet and in the following days he will try to make his untethered jailbreak solution compatible with these terminals as well.

Sorry for this, but I had to organize things for the release. Also, I've tested iPad 1 and it worked. Today I hope I can test a 3Gs. BTW: please don't propose to be a beta tester because I'm too paranoid, fearing leaks.

Now the time to finalize the jailbreak for old devices, fix some stability issues and package the whole. That will take some days. In the meantime, I'm starting the research for iPad 2 and 4S. I'll keep you informed of my progress.

Now not even Pod2G can say how long it will take to develop the untethered jailbreak solution for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, but when pod2G has everything ready, it will let us know through its blog. I don't think the solution will be released before iOS 5.1 because Pod2G would throw a few weeks/months of work out the window, so be reserved and don't expect the solution to be available for you before iOS 5.1.
