Apple blocks registrations for iTunes Match

Last night Apple launched iTunes Match in several countries around the world and now, 24 hours later, the company locks registrations for your new service. Canada and Great Britain are the countries where users can no longer register new subscriptions for iTunes Match and probably the very high demand or overloading of the servers led Apple to take this decision. In the US, the service is popular, but it was speculated that Apple would not make much money from its launch, because the costs of licensing and maintaining the servers would consume a good part of the proceeds.

In Romania, Apple has not shown any interest in launching iTunes Match and I don't think it will show it too soon considering that our country is not one of the biggest "consumers" of music. Probably next year or maybe in a few years we will have iTunes Match in Romania and the price of a canceled subscription will be €25.
