Romanians prefer Orange, prepaid cards, all-inclusive subscriptions and Nokia phones

According to a study published today by the website MobiMe, Romanians prefer the Orange mobile phone operator, prepaid cards, all-inclusive subscriptions and phones produced by the Nokia company. The information provided by them is based on 25.000 searches made on the MobiMe website between August 1 and December 13, 2011, so theoretically it should be quite representative. Romanians are still interested in prepaid cards that offer the best offers, but in the case of subscriptions, the expensive ones with many minutes, messages and internet included seem to attract the most consumers and everything to buy phones at much lower prices.

The mobile phone user chooses a high value plan to get a phone at a subsidized price, the stake being smartphones. Romanians look more at which TV to buy, than at the money they take out of their pocket monthly for the subscription. This is a trend specific to the Romanian telephone market, in other European countries consumers are very attentive to monthly expenses and less attentive to the phone they are talking on. On the other hand, it is clear that Romanians prefer subscriptions with internet included, internet surfing being constantly growing among the young population in Romania.

Below you have some representative graphs, but keep in mind that the studies also have a margin of error, so the information may be slightly different from the current reality.
