iPad 3 could have twice the battery, it could be available in two high and mid end versions

If you were missing a rumor related to the iPad 3 tablet, then I have a new and interesting one for you, but which is probably very far from coming true. According to Asians from Digitimes, Apple is preparing to launch an iPad 3 tablet with double the battery capacity of the iPad 2. 6579 mAh is the current battery capacity of the iPad 2 and the iPad 3 could have a battery with a capacity of 13.200 mAh, which for me it seems quite unlikely even if the new product will be thicker than the current one.

The battery capacity for the high-end version of Apple's new iPad – due to be unveiled in January 2012 – will be increased to 14,000mAH compared to 6,500mAH currently used, according to industry sources. Apple's battery suppliers Simplo Technology and Dynapack declined to comment on matters concerning clients.

In addition to doubling the battery capacity, Apple intends to produce two models of the iPad 3, one high end and one for the mid range sector. For now, it is not known how Apple will differentiate these products by functions because it is rumored that both will have Retina Display, so theoretically they should be equally attractive. Of course, this difference will also be found in the price because the mid-end product should be somewhat cheaper and accessible to many more people.

Apple is set to unveil two versions of its next-generation tablet, one for the high-end segment and one for the mid-range segment, the sources said. Meanwhile, the penetration rate of lithium-polymer batteries such as those used in iPad 2 is expected to reach 15% in 2012 compared to 5% in 2011, the sources estimated.

The "credibility" of this rumor is given by the fact that Digitimes claims that the launch of the new products will take place at MacWorld, a conference that takes place at the end of January. The problem is given by the fact that Apple no longer participates in that conference for 2 years, so you draw conclusions about the iPad 32 tablet with at least 15 hours of autonomy.
