The Atari company succeeded to convince them those from Apple to withdraw from the App Store some games that in some respects resembled titles of the Asian company. Atari called on Apple to withdraw certain games and Vector Tanks is one of them. Vector Tanks was designed after a title from Atari, a title for which the Asian company has certain patents and it seems that it used them to convince Apple to comply with their requests.
Atari has reportedly been applying legal pressure to developers which it believes are infringing on its intellectual property rights, despite the affected developers claiming that attempts had been made on their part to reach an agreement.
This is not the first time that Apple withdraws certain applications following requests from Atari or other companies, and it certainly won't be the last.
