An iOS bug allows users to access the photo library on a locked iDevice

In iOS 5, Apple brought the possibility to access the Camera application directly from the LockScreen without unlocking our iDevice, but using this method leads to the impossibility of viewing the photo library until the iDevice is unlocked. Well an iOS 5 bug allow anyone can see the photo library of an iDevice, but to do this they must first have access to the system settings of the iDevice. It seems that changing the date of the iDevice overturns the security measures imposed by Apple and the photo library becomes accessible from the LockScreen.

To exploit this vulnerability, you must set the iOS date at least one day ago, and that way you will have unrestricted access to the photo library directly from the LockScreen. If you have the Date&Time settings set to auto, then this bug has no way of affecting you unless you are used to traveling often in various parts of the world. The bug is not an important one, but it can provide unrestricted access to unwanted people to the private photo library of your terminal.
