iREB r5 released by iH8sn0w

Last evening iH8sn0w released a Cydia update for the iREB program with which we can remove an iPhone from Recovery Mode or enter it into Pwned DFU Mode to perform a restore using a custom ipsw. The r5 version is now available for download and it only brings bug fixes for the previous version which was released 10 months ago. Although iREB is a good utility, I always recommend redsn0w for putting an iPhone in Pwned DFU Mode because the program from the Dev Team has proven to be the most efficient way to do this.

   Here's what iREB r5 brings:

  • Much smaller file size (390kb).
  • Fixed USB 3.0 issues.
  • iREB's speed for the iPhone 2G/iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 1G has
  • increased significantly!
  • Fixed rare DFU detection issues.
  • Updated limera1n/steaks4uce payload to not hook “cmd_go”
  • on 4.x images (nothing severe, but useless here).

iREB r5 only works on Windows and can be downloaded available here.
