Apple patents the technology behind the Siri assistant, gives us details about the future

Today, Apple was granted a patent for Siri and it details the main technologies used in the personal assistant in the iPhone 4S. Technology aside, we are talking about the ways in which Apple thinks Siri could be used and probably few of you would have thought that you could have the possibility to use Siri in a digital camera but many would have seen Siri in a TV, a tablet, a mobile phone, a computer or many others. Apple has patented the Siri system and has considered implementing it in a variety of electronic devices, but this does not mean that we will ever see all these products with a Siri implemented in them.

In various embodiments, the assistant could also take into account external events and respond accordingly, for example, to initiate action, initiate communication with the user, provide alerts, and/or modify previously initiated action in view of the external events.

Going forward, Apple intends to give the Siri assistant the ability to modify the data entered by a user depending on various external events and offer suggestions on how to solve some problems. However, Apple says that Siri can be configured according to user preferences, an option that we have not yet found in the iPhone 4S terminal and we probably won't find it soon. Apple has imagined a complex Siri, a Siri capable of doing much more than it shows us today, and you can learn more from the patent of the Cupertino company.
