When Steve Jobs saved Apple from the brink of bankruptcy, he instituted an extremely strict security policy that in some ways seems a little paranoid. Last night in a intervened with the author of the book Inside Apple: How America's Most Admired and Secretive Company Really Works a participant in the discussions revealed that a friend of his was employed as an engineer at Apple and worked for several months on a fake product that was not launched. Apple did everything in the idea of testing the engineer to see if he deserves the necessary trust to participate in the development of really important projects for the company and it seems that he was not the only one.

What Apple is doing is strange but perhaps necessary considering that everyone is interested in confidential information about the products being developed at Apple. In a different vein, the same employee claims that Tim Cook has the necessary charisma to occupy the highest position in the American state, that of president, but until another is Apple's CEO.
